President's Speech Empty, There's Widespread Hunger, Anger & Acute Poverty- Gov. Bala
•Protest: Politics Shouldn't be Played- He adds
Bauchi State Governor and Chairman, PDP Governors' Forum has recognised pervasive hunger, anger, and severe poverty impacting Nigeria, describing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's statement on the process as empty.
Mohammed was speaking soon after holding an emergency security meeting this evening at Bauchi Government House, voicing concern about the recent attacks by hoodlums during the ongoing #EndBadGovernance protest.
Mohammed while advocating for a complete reinstitution of the country, said the President should have listened to governors, calling on Nigerians to desist from any act of violence in the name of peaceful demonstration.
He assured citizens of his administration's commitment to safeguarding their lives and property, saying a comprehensive approach to address Nigeria's challenges is needed rather than empty statements.
Governor Bala however, emphasized the importance of unity, saying his administration closely monitors the security situation in the state for further actions.
