SAZU, NUJ mourns Emir of Ningi, three Journalists

The Sa'adu Zungur University, SAZU under the leadership of Professor Fatimah Tahir, and the Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ Bauchi State Chapter has separately commiserate with the families Government and people of the State over the death of the Emir of Ningi, Alhaji Dr. Yunusa Muhammad Danyaya and two Journalists.
In separate statements signed by Awwal Hassan Public Relations Officer of SAZU and NUJ Secretary Isa Garba Gadau prayed to Allah to forgive the deceased and give their families fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
Hassan said the Vice Chancellor of the University Professor Fatima Tahir and The university community mourns the loss of a revered traditional ruler, who was a symbol of wisdom, leadership, and cultural heritage. His demise is a great loss not only to the Ningi Emirate but also to the academic community.
Professor Fatimah Tahir, Vice-Chancellor of Sa'adu Zungur University, expressed her condolences, saying, "We are deeply shocked and saddened by the passing of Emir Yunusa Danyaya. He was a great leader and a champion of education. His legacy will continue to inspire us."
We extend our heartfelt condolences to the Ningi Emirate, the family of the late Emir, and the people of Bauchi State.
Similarly The Nigeria Union of Journalists Bauchi State Council has described the death of His Royal Highness the Emir of Ningi, Alhaji Yunusa Muhammadu Danyaya as a loss not only to the Ningi Emirate and Bauchi State but the country as a whole.
A statement signed by the secretary of the union Isah Garba Gadau recalls the contributions of the late Emir to the growth and development of traditional institutions in northern Nigeria and his relentless effort in ensuring peace, harmony and mutual understanding among the three tiers of government.
The statement while commiserating with the state Governor Bala Mohammed, Bauchi Council of Emirs, Ningi Emirate in particular over the irreparable loss, the NUJ urged them and the good people of the state to bear the loss with fortitude and prayed for the repose of the soul of the deceased.
In the meantime, the union had condoled the families of three of its members, Aliyu JIBO, Babangida Mohammed who died on Sunday after a protracted illness as well as Zonal Manager NAN Rabiu Sani for losing his three year old daughter.
Until his death, Aliyu JIBO was a staff of the Bauchi Radio Corporation, Gotel Radio while Babangida Mohammed worked briefly with the Bauchi State Television before he moved to Gotel TV and later Headlines newspaper.
Bauchi NUJ described the death as a minus to the Journalism profession and prayed to Allah to reward their humanitarian acts with Jannatul Firdausi and their families the fortitude to bear the loss.
