Sheik Dahiru Bauchi Foundation integrates Qur'anic School with Western Education

A renown Islamic Scholar Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi has integrated Qur'anic School with western education as part of effort to reduce Almajiri begging in the society.

The Scholar Established Nursery , Primary and Secondary School in Bauchi.This is the first time the scholar studied such kind of western education Schools in over 100 years that he spent propagating the Islamic knowledge.

Speaking during the commissioning ceremony yesterday, of the newly constructed Muassasah Model Quranic Nursery and Primary School in Bauchi built by the scholar in Bauchi. The state commissioner for education, Dr. Jamila Mohammed Dahiru, commended the Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi Foundation for its commitment and efforts towards the improvement of education.Represented by director in the ministry, Hajiya Aishatu Ahmad Aminu, the commissioner urged the foundation to do more for the educational development of the state.Dr Jamila said integrating Islamic studies into modern education would foster a well-rounded understanding and reiterated the commitment of the state government to prioritize education.

The Director of Education Sidi Aliyu Sise Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi, said the foundation is looking for ways to reduce the Almajiri begging in the society, and promote seeking for both western and Islamic education as a measure to address the socio economic challenges bedeviled the country." Allah test the people of Nigeria with so many challenges and difficulties, like high cost of food stuffs and other basic needs , we must unite together and find a solution in order to address the menace, and part of the solution is the foundation is looking for ways to improve the condition of learning in all almajiri Schools and provide them with a way to get permanent feeding and other basic needs so that they can get the conducive environment for learning'

The Scholar advised Nigerians to repent by seeking forgiveness and pursue knowledge, unity, and righteousness to overcome the country’s challenges. “We must seek understanding and wisdom rooted in Islamic values.”he said The cleric referenced Quranic verses, such as “Recite: In the name of thy Lord who created man from a clot. Recite, thy Lord is the Most Generous Who taught by the pen, taught man that which he knew not” (Quran, 96:1-5), to underscore the significance of knowledge" Sidi Ali stressed the Importance of seeking for Knowledge in Islam “In Islam, knowledge is considered a vital aspect of a person’s faith. The Prophet Muhammad emphasized the importance of seeking knowledge, saying, “Seek knowledge from the cradle to the grave. “This pursuit of knowledge is not limited to religious studies but also encompasses scientific research and critical thinking,”
