Governor Inuwa Yahaya Signs GOSIPA Bill, Appoints Executive Secretary, and Inaugurates 3G Project Taskforce

Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, CON, has signed into law the bill establishing the Gombe State Investment Promotion Agency (GOSIPA), a strategic move aimed at driving investment and economic growth in the state.

Announcing the governor’s approval, the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, confirmed that Governor Yahaya has also appointed Faruq Ibrahim Daudu as the Executive Secretary of GOSIPA. The agency is expected to play a key role in attracting investors, enhancing the business climate, and facilitating economic development in Gombe State.

In a related development, Governor Yahaya has inaugurated a Taskforce on the Implementation and Monitoring of the Gombe Goes Green (3G) Project, reinforcing the administration’s commitment to environmental sustainability and economic resilience. The 3G project is aimed at promoting afforestation, reducing desertification, and creating employment opportunities through green initiatives.

The Taskforce is chaired by His Royal Highness Dr. Abubakar Buba Atare II, the Mai Tula, with Dr. Sani Adamu Jauro serving as Member/Secretary. Other members include:

The governor emphasized that all appointments take effect from March 7, 2025, and called on the newly appointed officials to bring their expertise and experience to bear in ensuring the successful execution of their mandates.

Governor Inuwa Yahaya reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to sustainable development, urging the GOSIPA leadership and the 3G Taskforce to work towards positioning Gombe as a model for economic prosperity and environmental conservation.
