Governor Bala Mohammed Makes Strategic Appointments to Boost Governance in Bauchi State

Bauchi, April 29, 2025 — In a major push to strengthen the machinery of government and deepen participatory governance, the Executive Governor of Bauchi State, His Excellency Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, CON, Fnipr, has approved the appointment of a fresh cohort of aides across various categories.
The appointments include Principal Special Assistants (PSAs), Senior Special Assistants (SSAs), Special Assistants (SAs), and Personal Assistants (PAs), and are aimed at enhancing service delivery, fostering inclusivity, and ensuring that the administration remains responsive to the aspirations of the people.
According to a statement signed by Mukhtar Gidado, Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Governor, the new appointees were selected based on merit, proven experience, leadership qualities, and their political and community engagement backgrounds. Many of them are seasoned former public office holders at various levels of government.
Governor Bala Mohammed congratulated the newly appointed aides and urged them to view their roles as a call to dedicated service. He emphasized the importance of loyalty, professionalism, and a people-first approach, reiterating his administration’s commitment to delivering democratic dividends across all corners of the state.
"This strategic move is part of our broader efforts to consolidate achievements and ensure a legacy of inclusive governance and sustainable development," the Governor noted.
The list includes appointments from all 20 local government areas of Bauchi State, reflecting the government’s intent to maintain balanced representation and community integration in decision-making processes.
Among the notable appointments:
- Principal Special Assistants on Political/Community Relations include Dauda Garba Bundot (Dass LGA), Saleh Moh’d Kafin-Galadima (Ganjuwa LGA), and Hon. Haruna Tilde (Toro LGA).
- Senior Special Assistants on Political/Community Relations span over 60 individuals including Yusuf Mohammed Bako (Alkaleri LGA), Hon. Markus Makama (Bogoro LGA), and Baba Musa Bauchi (Bauchi LGA).
- Special Assistants and Personal Assistants have also been appointed in significant numbers, covering various sectors and locations across the state.
All appointments are to take immediate effect.
This wave of appointments marks another chapter in Governor Bala Mohammed’s drive to create a more efficient, transparent, and inclusive government that addresses the developmental needs of Bauchi State's diverse population.
