Gombe Governor Mourns Retired High Court Judge, Justice Paul Idi Apollos

Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, CON, has expressed profound sorrow over the passing of retired High Court Judge, Justice Paul Idi Apollos, who died on Thursday in Gombe.
In a condolence message, Governor Inuwa Yahaya described the late jurist as an exceptional and principled figure in Nigeria’s legal landscape, known for his unwavering commitment to justice and fairness throughout his distinguished career.
He noted that Justice Apollos’ journey in the legal profession — from his early days at the Bar to his rise as Chief Registrar and eventual appointment to the Bench — was marked by diligence, discipline, and integrity.
"Justice Paul Apollos was not only an accomplished legal mind but also a close friend and associate from our days growing up together in Jekadafari. His demise is a personal loss to me, and indeed, a great loss to the judiciary and the state at large,” the Governor stated.
He further commended Justice Apollos for upholding the highest standards on the Bench, where he earned respect for his fairness and passionate pursuit of justice until his retirement.
Governor Inuwa Yahaya extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, members of the judiciary, and the entire Tangale community. He prayed for the peaceful repose of the late jurist’s soul and for Almighty God to comfort his family and loved ones with the strength to bear this great loss.
