Governor Bala Mohammed Receives Soil Values Project Delegation, Reaffirms Commitment to Agricultural Transformation

As part of his official engagements in Abuja, His Excellency Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, CON (Kauran Bauchi), on [insert date] hosted a delegation from the Soil Values Project at the Governor’s Lodge. The delegation was led by the Project’s Country Coordinator, Medinah Ayuba Fagbemi.

In her presentation, Fagbemi disclosed that Bauchi, Jigawa, and Kano States have been selected as pilot states for the implementation of the Soil Values Project. She commended Governor Bala Mohammed for his visionary leadership and the significant progress made under his administration in revitalizing Bauchi State’s agricultural sector.

According to the Country Coordinator, the Soil Values Project aims to enhance soil health and agricultural productivity by building on existing structures and platforms already established through the ACReSAL Project and L-PRESS initiatives in Bauchi.

She praised the collaboration and support received from the Bauchi ACReSAL Project Management Unit, led by Dr. Ibrahim Kabir, describing it as exemplary and instrumental to the project’s preparatory phase.

The delegation expressed deep appreciation for Governor Bala Mohammed’s unwavering commitment to developmental initiatives that directly benefit the people of Bauchi State.

In his response, Governor Bala Mohammed welcomed the partnership and assured the team of his administration’s full support for the successful rollout of the Soil Values Project.

“Our government remains fully committed to creating an enabling environment for agricultural development. This project aligns perfectly with our vision, and we will provide all necessary support to ensure its success,” the governor said.

He also highlighted ongoing efforts to reposition Bauchi State’s agricultural sector through a newly formulated agricultural policy designed to drive transformation, food security, and economic diversification.

To ensure effective implementation, the governor directed the State Project Coordinator of ACReSAL to facilitate collaboration between the Soil Values Project team, relevant stakeholders, and MDAs.

The visit reaffirmed Bauchi State’s position as a key player in agricultural innovation and sustainability in Nigeria.
