Governor Inuwa Yahaya Hails New RATTAWU Leadership, Applauds Successful National Delegates Conference in Gombe

Gombe State Governor and Chairman of the Northern States Governors’ Forum, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, CON, has congratulated Comrade Prince Emeka Kalu on his emergence as the new National President of the Radio, Television, Theatre and Arts Workers Union of Nigeria (RATTAWU).

The congratulatory message follows the successful conclusion of RATTAWU’s 7th Quadrennial National Delegates Conference (NDC), tagged 'Gombe 2025', held in the Gombe State capital.

Governor Inuwa Yahaya also extended warm felicitations to all newly elected national officers of the union, urging them to work in unity to reposition RATTAWU as a beacon of professionalism, innovation, and solidarity in Nigeria’s labour movement.

He expressed confidence that under the new leadership, the union will witness renewed vitality and heightened professionalism across the nation’s broadcast, theatre, and creative arts sectors.

The Governor expressed pride in Gombe State’s role as host of the high-profile event, commending RATTAWU for choosing the state and for conducting a peaceful, transparent, and well-organized conference.

“We are honoured to have hosted this important gathering. The orderly and disciplined conduct of delegates reflects the maturity and camaraderie within the union,” the Governor remarked.

Reaffirming his administration’s commitment to promoting media excellence, labour welfare, and the growth of the creative economy, Governor Inuwa Yahaya pledged continued support for initiatives that empower professionals and strengthen institutional frameworks within the sector.
