BAUCHI GOVERNOR REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO CIVIL SERVICE GROWTH

Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed of Bauchi State has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to enhancing career progression within the state’s civil service.

Speaking during a Ramadan Iftar with Permanent Secretaries and senior civil servants at the Government House in Bauchi, the Governor emphasized that improving the welfare and remuneration of civil servants remains a top priority for his government.

He highlighted the importance of ongoing reforms aimed at strengthening the civil service, ensuring effective policy implementation, and delivering people-centered governance. According to him, a well-functioning civil service is essential for the success of any administration.

"As a former civil servant, I understand the role of the service in shaping governance and personal growth. My administration is committed to restoring its lost glory in Bauchi State. I appreciate our civil servants for their dedication in implementing government policies across Ministries, Departments, and Agencies," he said.

Governor Bala Mohammed further assured his support for a system of reward and accountability, aimed at promoting discipline and productivity.

On the implementation of the Contributory Pension Scheme, he announced that his administration has released the government’s contribution to facilitate the process and ensure its smooth execution.

In response, the State Head of Civil Service, Barrister Sani Umar, expressed gratitude to the Governor for his unwavering support and reforms in the sector. He pledged the continued loyalty and commitment of the state’s workforce toward achieving the government’s development goals.
