A New Chapter in Bauchi State Security
Today marks a significant step in our ongoing journey toward a safer Bauchi State. As I take on the responsibility of leading the Bauchi State Police Command, I do so with gratitude, humility, and an unwavering sense of duty.
I thank Almighty ALLAH for His grace, and the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olukayode Adeolu Egbetokun, PhD, NPM, fdc, for this trusted assignment.
“To protect with courage and serve with compassion.”
— IGP Olukayode Egbetokun, PhD
Honoring the Past, Embracing the Future
We stand on the shoulders of those who came before us. The foundations laid by my predecessors, coupled with the tireless service of our officers, are the pillars on which we will build stronger community safety.
Strategic Focus Areas
Our policing vision will be driven by:
- Intelligence-led policing
- Community involvement
- Targeted patrols in hotspot areas
- Professional management of public events
- Evidence-based investigations
We will leverage data, local intelligence, and inter-agency cooperation to reduce crime and maintain public order.
Zero Tolerance for Indiscipline
Officers have been briefed and warned: there will be no room for corruption, unprofessionalism, or abuse of power. Every officer’s action will be measured against the highest ethical standards.
Community Engagement Is Key
Security is a shared responsibility. We are committed to:
- Deepening trust between the police and the public
- Creating channels for real-time community feedback
- Partnering with local leaders, youth, and civil society
Together, we’ll make our communities safer—one neighborhood at a time.

We are determined to turn security into a shared success story for Bauchi State. But we need you—the press, the public, community leaders, and every peace-loving resident.
