In an exciting leap toward digital empowerment, the Bauchi State Government has teamed up with Protexxa Inc, a renowned Canadian cybersecurity organization, to launch the Cyber Nations Initiative—a training programme set to open up global opportunities for youths in the state.
Announced by the Commissioner for Information and Communication, Hon. Usman Shehu Usman, the initiative is designed to equip young people and professionals with the practical skills and certifications they need to thrive in one of the world’s fastest-growing industries: cybersecurity.
“The Cyber Nations Initiative is a Canada-based coalition of global leaders working together to educate and employ 100,000 African, Caribbean, and Canadian learners in the global cybersecurity industry,” said Hon. Usman.
This initiative is a direct result of a strategic bilateral mission by the Bauchi State Government to Canada, aimed at fostering innovative partnerships that can drive socio-economic development back home.
