Bauchi APC Stalwart, Bulus Iliya, Hails President Tinubu Over Dogara’s Appointment as NCGC Chairman
A frontline member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bauchi State, Hon. Bulus Iliya, popularly known as Bulusiyya, has applauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara, as the Chairman of the National Credit Guarantee Company Limited (NCGC).
In a statement released on Friday, Bulus Iliya—who contested for the Bauchi State House of Assembly in 2023 to represent Bogoro Constituency—described Dogara’s appointment as “timely, strategic, and deeply deserving.”
“President Tinubu has done a very good job by appointing Dogara as Chairman of the NCGC,” Bulus said. “This is a step in the right direction, and I have no doubt that Dogara will bring credibility, strategic direction, and tremendous impact to this laudable initiative.”
Bulus emphasized that the former Speaker’s vast legislative and public service experience will be an invaluable asset to the newly established financial institution.
“The track records of Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara speak volumes. His knowledge of governance and economic development will position the NCGC for success, especially as Nigeria seeks to empower small businesses and promote economic inclusion,” he noted.
He extended personal congratulations to Dogara, describing him as a mentor and a leader who commands respect and admiration across Bauchi State and Nigeria at large.
“On behalf of myself and my family, I extend our heartfelt congratulations to our mentor and boss, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara—the Jendhm of Zaar Land—on this well-deserved appointment as Chairman of the National Credit Guarantee Company Limited.”
Hon. Bulus Iliya also commended President Tinubu for establishing the NCGC, noting that the initiative will reduce lending risks for financial institutions and expand access to credit for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), manufacturers, and ordinary citizens.
“This is a bold economic move by Mr. President. With the right leadership, this institution will become a game-changer for entrepreneurs and small businesses,” he said.
The APC chieftain concluded by calling on Nigerians to support and pray for President Tinubu:
