Chairman of Yamaltu-Deba LGA Honored with National Excellence Award

The Executive Chairman of Yamaltu Deba Local Government Area in Gombe State, Alhaji Abubakar Hassan Difa, has been conferred with the prestigious Nigerian Local Government Excellence Award.
The award presentation ceremony, which also featured the launch of the Medals Magazine, took place at the National Merit Award Auditorium in Maitama, Abuja, on Thursday.
The event brought together top government officials, traditional rulers, and other dignitaries from across the country to celebrate outstanding leadership and service delivery at the grassroots level.
Speaking shortly after receiving the award, Alhaji Abubakar Hassan Difa expressed deep appreciation to the organizers of the Nigerian Local Government Excellence Award for recognizing his administration’s efforts. He described the recognition as “timely and motivating,” pledging to redouble his commitment to driving development and improving the living standards of his people.
“I dedicate this award to the good people of Yamaltu-Deba who have been my source of strength and inspiration. This recognition will further spur us to work harder and deliver more meaningful projects,” he said.
The council chairman also lauded the administration of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, noting that the Governor's people centered policies and unwavering commitment to grassroots development have paved the way for such honors.
“Governor Inuwa Yahaya’s dedication to the welfare of the people is evident in the many developmental projects being executed across the state. His visionary leadership has given birth to this kind of recognition, and I call on citizens to continue offering their full support and cooperation for sustained progress,” he added.
The Nigerian Local Government Excellence Award is an annual recognition aimed at encouraging innovation, transparency, and accountability among local government officials across the country.
