Governor Bala Mohammed Condoles Families of Slain Vigilantes in Mansur Village Attack

The Executive Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, CON, FNIPR (Kauran Daular Usmaniyya), has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic killing of professional hunters by suspected bandits in Mansur Village, Alkaleri Local Government Area.
According to preliminary reports, the hunters were ambushed during a routine patrol along the Duguri–Mansur–Dajin Mada forest corridor. The attack is a stark reminder of the threats posed by criminal elements determined to disrupt the peace and safety of our communities.
Governor Bala Mohammed described the incident as a "heinous and senseless act of violence" and extended his heartfelt condolences to the families of the fallen heroes, the people of Alkaleri, and all residents of Bauchi State.
“These courageous men made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. We mourn their loss and honour their bravery,” the Governor stated.
He further reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering commitment to combating insecurity across the state and urged residents to remain vigilant and support security agencies by sharing timely and credible information.
“We must stand united against those who seek to harm our communities. With collective effort, we can overcome these challenges,” he added.
Governor Mohammed assured the public that the state government, in collaboration with security forces, is intensifying efforts to track down and bring the perpetrators to justice. He reiterated that no effort will be spared to ensure Bauchi State remains a safe haven for all its citizens.
