Governor Inuwa Yahaya Applauds President Tinubu for Appointing Gombe APC Chairman as Lake Chad Research Institute Board Chairman

Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, CON, has extended warm congratulations to the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Gombe State, Mr. Nitte K. Amangal, on his recent appointment as Chairman of the Board of the Lake Chad Research Institute, Maiduguri.
The appointment, made by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, has been widely celebrated in Gombe and beyond as a recognition of Mr. Amangal’s deep-rooted political experience and administrative competence.
In a congratulatory message, Governor Inuwa Yahaya hailed the decision as a “well-deserved honour” and a “source of pride” for the people and government of Gombe State.
“This appointment is not only a personal honour to Mr. Amangal but also a source of pride for our state. We thank President Tinubu for this thoughtful and strategic decision. Mr. Amangal is a seasoned administrator and a loyal party leader whose wealth of experience will undoubtedly benefit the Lake Chad Research Institute,” the Governor stated.
He further assured the new board chairman of the full support and cooperation of the Gombe State Government and its people, expressing optimism that Mr. Amangal’s leadership would bring renewed vision and energy to the institute.
The Lake Chad Research Institute plays a crucial role in agricultural research and development in the region. With Mr. Amangal at the helm, stakeholders are hopeful for enhanced productivity, innovative research solutions, and sustainable development across the Lake Chad basin and Nigeria as a whole.
Governor Yahaya emphasized that the appointment reflects the growing influence and recognition of Gombe State’s leadership and talent on the national stage.
