Gov Inuwa Yahaya Condemns Brutal Murder of Amadi Kasiran, Orders Crackdown on Thuggery
Gombe State was shaken by a tragic act of violence on Sunday night, June 8, 2025, as 45-year-old Ahmed Aliyu—widely known in the Hammadu Kafi area as Amadi Kasiran—was reportedly stabbed to death by suspected thugs. The incident, which has left the local community reeling, prompted a swift and stern reaction from Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, CON.
According to official reports, Amadi was attacked and later pronounced dead at the Gombe Specialist Hospital. The circumstances surrounding his killing, though still under investigation, point to a disturbing pattern of gang-related violence that Governor Inuwa Yahaya says must not be allowed to return.
“This gruesome act is a direct threat to the peace and safety of our people,” the Governor said. “Let it be known: violence has no place in Gombe State, and we will deal decisively with anyone caught breaching our peace.”
Governor Inuwa Yahaya has since directed security agencies to move swiftly, hunt down the culprits, and ensure they face the full weight of the law. He also emphasized that anyone found carrying dangerous weapons or engaging in criminal activity will be dealt with firmly and without delay.
“The killers of Ahmed will be hunted down and made to face the full wrath of the law,” he vowed.
Beyond law enforcement, the Governor used this moment to express his heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved family and assure them—and the entire public—that justice will not be delayed or denied.
“To the family and loved ones of the late Ahmed, I extend my deepest condolences. The Government and people of Gombe State mourn with you, and I assure you that justice will be served.”
As part of broader efforts to maintain peace and security, Governor Inuwa called for increased street-level patrols and enhanced intelligence gathering in areas vulnerable to criminal activity. He also urged the public to support security agencies by reporting suspicious behavior and sharing timely information.
“Our people deserve to move freely without fear or threats to their lives and property,” the Governor added. “We will not allow criminality to fester. Any individual or group attempting to take us back to the dark days of Kalare violence will have the state to contend with.”
The strong response reflects Governor Inuwa Yahaya’s longstanding stance against thuggery, and his government’s continued commitment to safeguarding lives and upholding peace in Gombe State.
As the investigation into this tragic murder unfolds, the message from the top is clear: Gombe will not tolerate violence—and justice will be swift and sure.
