Bauchi Government Mourns the Passing of SSA Abubakar Jafar Ilelah (Wakilin Sadarwan Bauchi)

The Bauchi State Government has announced with deep sorrow the sudden death of Alhaji Abubakar Jafar Ilelah, the Wakilin Sadarwan Bauchi, who passed away today, Tuesday, 22nd July 2025, following a brief illness.
Until his passing, Alhaji Abubakar Ilelah was serving as the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed on Public Enlightenment, a position he held with distinction. A renowned public relations practitioner and respected grassroots mobilizer, the late Ilelah was admired for his unwavering commitment to public service and community engagement.
In a condolence message, Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, on behalf of his family, the government, and the people of Bauchi State, expressed profound grief over the loss, describing the late Wakilin Sadarwan as:
“A devoted patriot, a man of integrity, a bridge-builder, and a trusted voice in the field of public enlightenment. His contributions to the state and his wisdom in service will be sorely missed.”
The Governor prayed for Allah’s mercy on the soul of the departed and extended heartfelt condolences to the Ilelah family, the Bauchi Emirate Council, the media community, and the entire people of Bauchi State.
The funeral prayer and burial rites for the deceased will be held tomorrow, Wednesday, 23rd July 2025, at the Emir of Bauchi’s Palace, by 9:00am, in accordance with Islamic traditions.
