📰 Gombe Communities Laud NEDC for Building Three Mega Schools

The Gombe Unity and Development Mandate Forum (GUDMF) has commended the North East Development Commission (NEDC) for constructing three mega schools across the three senatorial districts of Gombe State.
According to the group, the schools—located in Dadin Kowa (Gombe Central), Dukku (Gombe North), and Kaltungo (Gombe South)—will significantly reduce the number of out-of-school children and improve access to quality education across the state.
In a statement titled "Gombe Unity and Development Mandate Forum Happy with NEDC's Successes in Gombe", the National Chairman of the forum, Engineer Aliyu Musa Aliyu, praised the Commission’s commitment to regional development.
“This initiative clearly reflects the NEDC’s resolve to empower our people through education. We are proud of what has been achieved,” Engr. Aliyu stated.
He further applauded the Managing Director of NEDC, Mr. Mohammed Goni Alkali, for what he described as “a fatherly role” in the development of Gombe State.
“With these impactful projects, Mr. Alkali has proven himself as one of us. The people of Gombe now see him as an indigene due to his outstanding contributions,” he said.
Engr. Aliyu noted that the affected
communities are considering formal ways to honour the NEDC boss for his service and commitment to education.The group also praised the quality of construction and modern learning equipment provided at the schools, assuring that the facilities will be well utilized and maintained for the benefit of future generaion.
