“Democracy Day is not just a public holiday. It is a reminder of our collective resolve to uphold freedom, the rule of law, and good governance,” Governor Bala stated.
He praised the resilience of the Nigerian people, whose steadfast commitment continues to nurture the democratic culture, and acknowledged the contributions of both past and present leaders, civil society actors, and patriotic citizens working daily to strengthen democratic values.
Governor Mohammed emphasized that true democracy transcends the ballot box—it is about delivering real, measurable benefits that improve lives. He highlighted the steady progress recorded in Bauchi State under his administration, citing achievements in infrastructure, education, health, agriculture, and social empowerment as proof of democracy in action.
“The gains we have made in Bauchi State are the dividends of democracy, powered by visionary leadership, transparency, and people-centered policies,” he noted.
