Eid el-Kabir: Governor Bala Mohammed and First Lady Felicitate with Muslim Ummah, Call for Unity and Compassion

As Muslim faithful in Nigeria and around the world prepare to celebrate Eid el-Kabir, the Executive Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, CON, FNIPR (Kauran Daular Usmaniyya), has extended heartfelt greetings to the Muslim Ummah and the people of Bauchi State.
In a press statement released from Government House, Bauchi, Governor Bala Mohammed described Eid el-Kabir as a time of sacrifice, obedience, and compassion, urging Muslims to reflect on the noble virtues of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) by embracing selflessness, unity, and love for one another.
“Let us use this season to strengthen the bonds of peaceful coexistence, mutual respect, and unity, regardless of our religious, ethnic, or political differences,” the governor said.
He called on residents to see Bauchi as a shared home, where progress and development can only thrive through collective commitment to peace and brotherhood.
The governor reiterated his administration’s dedication to providing good governance, improving citizens' welfare, and fostering a secure and prosperous Bauchi State.
He concluded with prayers for continued blessings, protection, and divine guidance, wishing all Muslims a joyous and spiritually uplifting celebration.
First Lady of Bauchi State, Haj. Aisha Bala Mohammed, Sends Warm Eid Greetings
Meanwhile, the First Lady of Bauchi State, Her Excellency Haj. Aisha Bala Mohammed (Sarauniyar Bauchi), has also extended her warmest wishes to the Muslim Ummah on the occasion of Eid al-Adha.
In her Eid message, the First Lady emphasized the festival’s deep spiritual significance, noting that it is a time to demonstrate faith, compassion, and generosity, especially toward the less privileged.
“Eid Kabir reminds us of the virtues of obedience and sacrifice. Let us celebrate by showing kindness to others and strengthening the unity of our communities,” she said.
She also encouraged citizens to observe the celebration in moderation, remain security-conscious, and offer prayers for peace, progress, and prosperity in Bauchi State and Nigeria at large.
“May this Eid bring joy to our homes, renew our hope, and draw us closer to Almighty Allah,” the First Lady added.
