Governor Bala Mohammed Mourns the Tragic Demise of Iyan Jama’are, Ahmed Nuhu Wabi

Bauchi, Sunday, 15th June 2025 – The Government and people of Bauchi State are in mourning following the sudden and tragic death of Alhaji Ahmed Nuhu Wabi, the Iyan Jama’are and District Head of Hanafari, who died in a fatal motor accident earlier today.

The late Ahmed Nuhu Wabi, a noble son of the Emir of Jama’are, His Royal Highness Alhaji Nuhu Wabi, was renowned for his humility, sense of duty, and dedication to community service. In his role as District Head, he tirelessly championed peace, justice, and grassroots development in Hanafari and the Jama’are Emirate at large.

In a condolence message, the Executive Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, CON, FNIPR (Kauran Daular Usmaniyya), expressed deep sorrow over the loss. He described the deceased as “a promising and dutiful leader whose life was tragically cut short in his prime.”

“This is a painful and irreparable loss not only to the Jama’are Emirate but to the entire Bauchi State. His death is a stark reminder of the fragility of life and the divine will of Almighty Allah,” the Governor said.

The Governor extended heartfelt condolences on behalf of the state government and the people of Bauchi to the Jama’are Emirate Council, the immediate and extended family of the deceased, and all those affected by this great loss.

The funeral prayer and interment  took place today Monday, 16th June 2025 at the Emir’s Palace in Jama’are at 10:00 a.m. All sympathizers, relatives, and well-wishers are encouraged to attend and offer prayers for the repose of his soul.

The Bauchi State Government reaffirmed

its solidarity with the Jama’are Emirate during this period of mourning and assured them of continued support.

Governor Bala Mohammed prayed for Allah (SWT) to forgive the shortcomings of the deceased, admit him into Aljannatul Firdaus, and grant his family, the Emir, and the entire Emirate the strength to bear this tragic loss.

May his gentle soul rest in peace. Ameen.
