By Abdulwahab Muhammad Bauchí

In a continued show of leadership and party-building, the Governor of Bauchi State and Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Governors’ Forum, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, has reiterated his unwavering commitment to unity, inclusion, and the strategic repositioning of the PDP ahead of future electoral contests.

This assurance came on the heels of a courtesy visit by members of the PDP National Ex-Officio Forum, who were led by their Chairman, Engr. Clement Faboyede from Ondo State. The visit, which took place shortly after the PDP’s landmark 100th National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting in Abuja, further solidified growing internal consensus and collaboration within the party’s top ranks.

A Renewed Spirit of Unity Within the PDP

While delivering his remarks, Engr. Faboyede described the 100th NEC meeting as a defining moment for the PDP, marked by a remarkable level of unity, clarity of purpose, and alignment across the party's various structures.

“The synergy between the Board of Trustees (BoT), the National Working Committee (NWC), and other stakeholders during the NEC meeting has sent a strong message — the PDP is back, focused, and ready to lead,” he said.

He noted that the National Ex-Officio Forum stands firmly with the decisions taken at the NEC and is fully committed to supporting the repositioning drive of the party’s leadership.

Bala Mohammed: A Central Figure in PDP’s Reawakening

In response, Governor Bala Mohammed expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Ex-Officio members for their show of solidarity and confidence in the party's direction.

“Your visit and words of encouragement are deeply appreciated. It is only through unity and commitment at all levels that we can build a stronger PDP, capable of providing Nigerians with a viable alternative,” the governor stated.

He stressed the importance of inclusiveness, harmony, and internal discipline in rebuilding the party’s structures nationwide. Governor Mohammed further assured the delegation that, under his leadership and in collaboration with other PDP governors and stakeholders, the party will deepen grassroots engagement and remain responsive to the yearnings of Nigerians.

Steering the PDP Toward a Brighter Future

Governor Bala Mohammed has consistently advocated for reforms within the PDP and has played a key role in mediating party disputes, strengthening state chapters, and projecting the image of the PDP as a disciplined and people-focused political platform.

As Chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum, he has emerged as a steadying force in the party’s national leadership — one who prioritizes consultation, inclusion, and service delivery over internal

wrangling.

The visit by the PDP National Ex-Officio Forum not only reaffirms this trust but also signals growing momentum as the party gears up for future challenges and opportunities.
