Northern Governors’ Forum Chairman, Inuwa Yahaya Leads Delegation to Condole Dantata Family in Kano

The Chairman of the Northern States Governors’ Forum and Governor of Gombe State, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, CON, has led a high-level delegation to pay a condolence visit to the family of the late business mogul and renowned philanthropist, Alhaji Aminu Alhassan Dantata, in Kano.

Governor Inuwa Yahaya and his entourage were received at the Dantata family residence in Koki, Kano, by the eldest son of the deceased, Alhaji Tajudeen Aminu Dantata, alongside elder statesman Alhaji Sani Zangon Daura and other family members.

In his condolence message, Governor Inuwa Yahaya described the late Alhaji Aminu Dantata as a towering figure in Nigerian commerce, a beacon of philanthropy, and a respected elder statesman whose legacy of service, humility, and generosity spanned generations and boundaries.

“On behalf of the Northern States Governors’ Forum, the government and people of Gombe State, I convey our heartfelt condolences to the Dantata family. Nigeria has lost a titan of industry, a moral compass, and a true patriot who dedicated his life to the betterment of others,” the governor said.

He further noted that the late Dantata’s contributions to commerce, education, and humanitarian causes have left an enduring impact across Northern Nigeria and the country at large.

During the visit, special prayers were offered for the soul of the departed elder statesman, seeking Allah’s mercy, forgiveness, and eternal rest in Aljannatul Firdaus.

Governor Inuwa Yahaya was accompanied by a delegation of senior government officials and notable dignitaries, including Arc. Yunusa Yakubu, Dr. Jamilu Ishiyaku Gwamna, Alhaji Musa Garba, and the Commissioner for Finance and Economic Development, Muhammad Gambo Magaji, among others.
